After a very long hiatus I'm back to try again.Since my last post (over a year ago) I have left Panama and moved to Qatar. (See Map -------------------------->)
The move, as much as it was needed, was a sad one. Not only was I leaving a life I had been building for three years, I was moving across the world (which mean SO not as close to the family...) In a true testament to how awesome they are, they never once told me not to go, although I am sure most of them were not happy with the decision. I won't lie and say that I was sure I had made the right decision, but in the end I believe in fate and knew that if I'd made the decision, it was where I was headed for good reason.
Qatar is one of the most interesting places I've been to yet. It is nothing like the western stereotype of the middle east and yet in some instances is exactly what we expect it to be. Coming here from the US by way of Panama this couldn't be a more different environment. It's been quite a learning experience and most of the time I feel completely confused, to be honest.
